Description

CATIA GOES BEYOND 3D CAD DESIGN TO ENCOURAGE INNOVATION ACROSS THE EXTENDED ENTERPRISE. CATIA is the World’s Leading engineering and design software for 3D CAD , Product Design and Experience. It is used by leading manufacturing organizations, from OEMs original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their supply chains as well as small and medium businesses (SMB), in multiple industries to develop the products we see and use in our everyday lives. CATIA delivers the unique ability not only to model any product but to do so in the context of its real-life behavior: design in the age of experience. Systems architects, engineers, designers, and all contributors can define, imagine and shape the connected world. Design advanced shapes based on a combination of wireframe and extensive multiple surface features, with full specification capture. CATIA Advanced Surfacing provides an extensive set of tools for creating and modifying mechanical surfaces used in the design of complex shapes or hybrid parts. These include wireframe elements: point, line, angle, plane, curves, circle, (bi-tangent, tri-tangent, through and trimmed), spline, parallel curves, corner on a plane, connect 3D, spiral sphere, intersection, and projection. Standard and advanced surface features include extrude, revolute, sweep, (including segment and circle), offset (including skin) and fill. Both standard and advanced combinations of elements use associative transformation, including symmetry, scaling, translation, affinity, extrapolation, and fillet. It also has features that are used to join several surfaces together while assembling, trimming and splitting them.   Popular configurations: Design, advanced surfacing & drafting
